We are thrilled to announce that we currently offer Before and After school enrichment programs in LWSD and BSD schools.

Welcome to our 3D Printing Enrichment Program, where young minds embark on a hands-on journey to discover the exciting world of 3D design and printing! This program is specially crafted for students in grades K-2 and 3-5, introducing them to the magic of transforming ideas into real-world objects using cutting-edge technology.

The program begins with an introduction to 3D printing using 3D printing pens. Students learn basic techniques to create simple designs, gradually building skills and confidence with each project. As they progress, we transition to digital design, bringing ideas to life using TinkerCad, a kid-friendly 3D design program.

Stage 1: 3D Printing Pen Mastery

Students start with 3D printing pens, exploring various techniques to craft unique shapes and objects. This hands-on approach connects imagination and creation in a fun and immediate way.

Stage 2: Digital Design with TinkerCad

As students gain confidence, we move to laptop-based learning with TinkerCad, where they design digital models in "Design Mode." This phase introduces essential 3D design principles, helping students understand the basics of using a computer to create their designs.

Stage 3: Advanced Design Using Scratch Interface

In the final phase, older students (grades 3-5) explore coding with Scratch-based design tools, merging programming with 3D modeling. This stage empowers them to think like engineers and artists while developing more sophisticated projects.

Throughout the program, students have the opportunity to use 3D printers under supervision, learning how to prepare their designs for printing and operate the printers safely. To maximize learning time, some projects will be printed outside of class and brought back to students to take home or showcase.

We continuously adjust our program to provide the best experience possible. Currently, we are partnering with ToyCad software to make learning for K-2 kids even more engaging and exciting. This collaboration
allows us to enhance the curriculum with tools specially designed for young learners.

Each group consists up to 20 students, guided by 1 teacher
and 1-2 assistants to ensure all students receive the attention they need for a successful learning experience.
